VNU University of Engineering and Technology (VNU UET) and University of Technology Sydney (UTS) jointly held the first Research School (RS2017)
On March 15, 2017, VNU UET and UTS jointly organized the opening ceremony for the first Research School on “Advanced Technologies for IoT Applications” (RS2017) to be held in Hanoi from March 15 to March 17, 2017.

At the Ceremony, in the presence of VNU Vice President Nguyễn Hoàng Hải and representatives from the two institutions, VNU UET Rector Nguyễn Việt Hà and UTS Vice President Glenn Wightwick signed the Joint Research Cooperation agreement between UTS and VNU UET through the establishment of the UTS-VNU Joint Research Centre (JRC).

Speaking at the ceremony, VNU UET Rector Nguyễn Việt Hà and UTS Vice President Glenn Wightwick expressed their pleasure in signing the JTIRC establishing agreement. The Centre will help professors and students of the two universities connect and implement research and training activities. The cooperation between VNU UET and UTS is expected to offer opportunities for the two sides to build a new cooperation model between Vietnam and Australia in higher education and technology development.

On March 17, 2017, VNU UET and UTS held the Inauguration ceremony for the UTS – VNU UET Joint Research Centre.

JRC aims to foster excellence in research collaboration and technology transfer through PhD training, expert exchange programs and industry engagement.
