Former President, Director and Senior Adviser of Tokyu Group Toshiaki Koshimura expressed his utmost support for the idea of building a multidisciplinary university with high quality undergraduate and graduate training, meeting international standards in Vietnam. He also said that the Group was ready to support VNU VJU in training, research and student support activities.

Therefore, VNU has mobilized all its resources for VJU setting up and putting it into operation.

VNU President also affirmed that besides the support and assistance from the two Governments, cooperation and assistance from Vietnamese and Japanese enterprises played a very important role in the development of VNU VJU. Therefore, he expressed his wish that in the future, Tokyu Group would promote cooperation and specific support for the University.

VNU President Nguyễn Kim Sơn also asserted that the quality of training and research was the top priority of the university and dominated all its activities.

On the same day, Former President, Director, Senior Advisor of Tokyu Group Toshiaki Koshimura gave a lecture to VJU’s students on the topic "The kind of VNU VJU graduate that Japanese enterprises expect”.

Mr. Toshiaki Koshimura shared with the teachers and students of VNU VJU about the development process of Japanese companies investing in Vietnam with Tokyu Group as their representative and their requirements to the Vietnamese human resources.

From his experience and knowledge, he reminded VJUs students in particular and Vietnamese students in general of their need to adapt to all fluctuations and flexibility in their work. "The demands of society can be very different from the knowledge that students acquire in their studies at university. Will your leadership be promoted? Will you become the core of an organization? All this depends on your ability to adapt to all fluctuations in the work environment as well as the flexibility to meet the requirements of every business and industry, both domestically and internationally. In addition, you also need to have comprehensive knowledge of natural sciences, social sciences, history, arts, music, etc. to form your judgment and problem solving skills.”
