Building a digital university model at VNU is one of the key tasks to increase quality efficiency in training and research activities. VNU prioritizes development in three main areas: governance, using digital technology in training, integration between online and face-to-face training (Blended Learning), organization of science and technology activities to create smart products, etc., which helps develop a system of standard training programs for learners to use in the most convenient way.

The results of information technology application in regular university admissions show initial positive results, creating a basis for developing a digital university at VNU. VNU is investing in building a modern information technology infrastructure and a roadmap for digitizing lectures so that 20% ​​of the modules can be taught online for the period from 2020 to 2025.

VNU is also finalizing mechanisms and policies, promoting investment in resources to develop a digital scientific database system to directly serve training and scientific research and to build a connection plan linking shared databases system among VNU’s units.
