ASEAN University Network (AUN)

AUN is a network of universities in Southeast Asia (ASEAN University Network) was established in November 1995 after the 4th Summit the 4th in 1992 to call on countries to promote solidarity and gemoneousness in the region through human resource development to strengthen the network of universities and other higher education institutions in the region.
 The objective of AUN is to strengthen the cooperation between universities in Southeast Asia, increasing learning, research and training programs on the priority areas of Southeast Asia, increasing cooperation and solidarity among scholars, educators and researchers between the university members of Southeast Asia; as a policy-oriented agency of higher education in Southeast Asia.
 AUN - 26 members are deployed program "exchange students in AUN" among university member and within the framework of AUN + 3 with the project namely "ASEAN Millennium Leaders College Student Exchange Program ". Currently, the "ASEAN Millennium Leaders College Student Exchange Program" is mainly working with Daejeon University, Korea.
- AUN has completed ASEAN Credit Transfer System (ACTS), http://acts.ui.ac.id. Currently, this website provides information with more than 11 000 undergraduate and graduate training programs. VNU-HCM City has announced training programs with 145 training courses - the full number of credits and time.
-VNU have completed documents and registered training programs in English to participate in the student exchange activities of AUN. A total of nearly 370 undergraduate and graduate training programs.
- The change in policy training at the University of Brunei and the University of Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines have taken to degree level training program with the conditions: students must participate in at least one foreign terms (as a prerequisite for University students Brunei Darussalam _ 314 courses).
In 1995, President of VNU has decided to set up the Center for Education Quality Assurance and Research Development advisory unit responsible for field of quality assurance and accreditation of education. This is the first center in Vietnam studying quality assurance and accreditation of education. VNU is a leading university in implement quality control; including the co-operation with universities, other educational institutions with ASEAN partners, such as ASEAN University Network (AUN) and AUNP.
