Wageningen University was founded in 1876, part of Wageningen UR (Wageningen University & Research centre) .WU is the only university in the Netherlands to focus specifically on the theme ‘healthy food and living environment’. The research is conducted by the 93 chair groups of Wageningen University and 6 graduate schools. Wageningen UR has branches all over The Netherlands (and in China and Brazil).
