Modern professional management of student affairs

VNU promotes the support for students in a modern professional manner to create a comprehensive development environment for students.

In 2019, VNU continued to follow the mission of comprehensively innovating, prioritizing administrative procedure reform to create a most conducive learning environment strongly connecting training institutions with employers to best support learners with practical knowledge and skills most relevant to the labour market so as to strongly enhance graduates’ employability. The software supporting the one-stop administrative services for students continues to be effectively implemented by VNU’s affiliates such as University of Technology and Engineering, University of Languages and International Studies and others. The application of a multi-purpose student card helps integrate the necessary functions required by the management of training, support and services for serving students during their learning and training process, and unifying VNU’s detailed student database.

Scholarship

In 2019, VNU continued to manage and effectively use existing scholarships beyond the State Budget to support students. In addition to these scholarships, VNU was exploiting plenty of new valuable scholarships to support students, such as 50 scholarships, each worth VND 10 million, awarded by VinUNI to excellent students; 8 scholarships worth VND 3.1 billion granted by VinIF Fund to 8 doctoral students and 16 Master’s students; the FLC Group agreed to provide VND 2.5 billion-worth scholarships per year for VNU’s undergraduates and doctoral students.

Building an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system

Vietnam Certification Centre (QUACERT) has evaluated and issued the Certificate of Conformity with the ISO 9001:2015 standard to VNU Centre for Student Support.

The application of ISO 9001:2015 brings many benefits to boarding students. ISO 9001:2015 has provided objective evidence to prove that the quality of products and services and all activities of the Centre are controlled and continually improved to help boarding students and related parties feel at ease when using its provision of services.
