Objectives

Conference on International Economic Cooperation and Integration 2020 “Trade and investment facilitation in the context of global upheaval” will be co-held by the University of Economics and Business, Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Thươngmai University in December 2020. The conference aims at improving and strengthening the academic and practical exchanges and providing a discussion forum for scholars and practitioners on the following themes:

- Trade in the context of global upheaval;

- Investment in the context of global upheaval;

- Evaluate Vietnam’s policy implementation to quickly and sustainably recover the economy from global upheaval.

We welcome experts, researchers, scholars, and practitioners to contribute papers for the conference on, but not limited to, the following points:

- Economic integration and upheaval of the world economy (COVID-19, The US-China

Trade War, etc...)

- Vietnam's international economic integration

• Vietnam's international economic integration: progress and highlights;

• The impact of international economic integration on the Vietnamese economy’s growth and stability;

• The impact of joining new generation FTAs (CPTPP, EVFTA, etc.) on Vietnam; trade and investment.

- Trade facilitation of Vietnam in the context of global upheaval

• Vietnam's trade facilitation commitments;

• Vietnam's implementation of trade facilitation in the framework of WTO, APEC, ASEAN and FTAs that Vietnam has signed;

• The impact of trade facilitation on the Vietnamese economy;

• Trade facilitation of Vietnam in the volatile world economy;

• Digital trade facilitation measures;

• Inclusive trade facilitation measures;

• Trade facilitation in the context of COVID-19, trade war, etc.;

•Some proposed policies and solutions to promote trade facilitation for the Government and enterprises.

- Facilitating Vietnam's investment in the context of global upheaval

• Vietnam's investment facilitation commitments;

• Vietnam's implementation of investment facilitation;

• The impact of investment facilitation on the Vietnamese economy;

• Facilitating Vietnam's investment in the volatile world economy;

• Facilitating investment in the context of COVID-19, trade war,etc.;

• Some proposed policies and solutions to promote investment facilitation for the Government and businesses.

- Results of the implementation of policies for quick and sustainable recovery of the economy from global fluctuations: accelerating macroeconomic restructuring, institutional reforms, business environment improvement, enterprise development, and enhancingthe competitiveness of the economy.

Deadline, structure and format of the paper:

- Deadline: 25/10/2020

- The length of the paper should be between 4,000 - 6,000 words (not including the list of references) and must include:

·           Title

·           Abstract and key words

·           Content of the paper

·           List of references

- The paper must be written in English.

- Times New Roman font, size13, line spacing 1.2, in A4 and Word format

(Margin: top 2.5cm, bottom 2.5cm, left 3cm, right 2cm).
