VNU wins 30 prizes at the 2023 National Student Mathematical Olympiad
On April 8, 2023, at Hue University of Education, Vietnam Mathematical Society organized the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 29th National Student Mathematical Olympiad at which, VNU team won 30 prizes.

The VNU team comprised student representatives from VNU University of Science, VNU University of Engineering and Technology, VNU University of Education and a first time participant - VNU University of Economics.

Overall, the VNU team won 10 first prizes, 9 second prizes, 5 third prizes and 6 consolation prizes. Specifically, VNU University of Science won 6 first prizes, 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes. Ngo Quy Dang and Tran Ngoc Hieu were two of the four first prize winners in Algebra and Calculus, with Dang topping both subjects.

VNU University of Engineering and Technology won 4 first prizes, 5 second prizes and 1 third prize, becoming one of the best achievers among 85 participating universities.

VNU University of Education won 1 second prize, 2 third prizes and 2 consolation prizes.

Notably, the first time participants from VNU University of Economics and Business won 1 second prize and 1 consolation prize.

The best performing teams in Group A were VNU University of Science, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

The 29th National Student Mathematical Olympiad attracted the participation of 85 universities and colleges with 615 candidates in Algebra and Calculus, and that of 46 specialized high schools with 380 students.
