Speaking at the ceremony, VNU President Le Quan emphasized that, as the Founder of T&T Group and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SHB, Mr. Do Quang Hien has made many contributions to the promoting of comprehensive cooperation between VNU, T&T Group and SHB in human resources training and development; scientific research, knowledge transfer; and promoting development investment in VNU town following a “5 in 1” model, etc.

In the 2021-2023 period, Mr. Do Quang Hien himself, T&T Group and SHB donated 5 billion VND to the Operation Fund of the Executive Board of VNU Entrepreneur Alumni Club, 5 billion VND to the Talent Incubation Fund to support doctoral students and post-doctoral trainees with excellent research ability, 5 billion VND to VNU Holdings, a 350-million-VND-worth water purifier system to VNU student dormitory in Hoa Lac, 1.8 billion VND for tree planting in Hoa Lac, 1.1 billion VND for organizing the 2022 Investment Promotion Conference and many other sponsorship programs for VNU staff, lecturers and students.

In the coming time, many cooperation programs between VNU, T&T Group and SHB will be implemented, namely the Centre for Excellent Research and Training in Finance and Banking Technology, VNU Heritage road, value chain development project for medicinal plants in Thai Binh, among others.

At the ceremony, Mr. Do Quang Hien expressed his gratitude to VNU’s leaders and lecturers who helped him to obtain a foundation of integrated thinking, basic knowledge and necessary skills to overcome difficulties, challenges, and timely seize the opportunity to build and develop T&T Group as well as SHB, contributing to the development of the country.

Mr. Do Quang Hien also believed that with a long tradition, the attention of the Party and the State, the efforts of the Board of Presidents and staff of VNU, the cooperation of alumni and business community, VNU would strongly grow and soon feature in the group of the world’s leading universities, leading the national education. He also committed to further supporting and accompanying VNU's activities in the coming time.
