VNU’s community-oriented activities

VNU Trade Union has actively and proactively implemented charitable social work to serve the community and social life. VNU Trade Union has organized meaningful and practical activities, including the program "Tet reunion – Spring celebration, thanks to the Party" in Lang Son and Kon Tum provinces; supported educational establishments in remote areas through medical care and treatment programs for teachers in Tay Ninh province, Ly Son Island, etc.; and building public houses in Soc Trang province. Furthermore, VNU Trade Union organized many fund-raising campaigns to support people in provinces affected by natural disasters like storms, floods, etc.; and sent donations to the Trade Union Shelter Fund.

VNU units’ Trade Unions also carried out many valuable and meaningful volunteer activities that were highly appreciated by localities and union members. Specifically, the Trade Union of VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized the counselling program on the topic "Psychological balance, stress reduction”; Trade Unions of VNU International School, VNU University of Education, VNU University of Languages and International Studies, VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities were also highly active in social and charitable activities.

Promoting its proactive and creative role, VNU Youth Union and Students’ Association have implemented many programs to create an environment for young people to demonstrate their social responsibility. Volunteer programs and campaigns continued to be deployed in disadvantaged regions with 10 Warm Winter 2023 volunteer teams in Sop Cop district (Son La province); 20 volunteer teams for the Program “The exam season support 2023”; 40 teams participated in the 2023 Green Summer campaign.

With the strength of a multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral training unit, VNU’s volunteer teams have organized a variety of models and projects for localities, with a special focus on the volunteer activities associated with transferring expertise and science and technology to local people; and donated more than 2 billion VND to localities. Ongoing volunteer activities throughout the year, such as "Voluntary blood donation" movement; “For the environment” volunteer activities; Supportive programs for vulnerable youth, etc. were also implemented by VNU Youth Union and Youth Unions of VNU’s units, contributing to spreading the image of VNU with high social responsibility.
