11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

The thesis conducts fairly comprehensive and systematic research about Chinese cultural industry under the context that the country has been promoting soft strength since the early XXI century. The theoretical and practical basis of the development of Chinese cultural industry is analyzed; especially the related contents are also clarified in this thesis. According to the study, cultural industry, which belongs to group of creative industries, concentrates on exploiting economic values of cultural identity based on the application science, technology achievements to produce and distribute services for spiritual life of citizens, create wealth for society. It is protected by copyright.

The thesis also explores the contexts and impacts of the Chinese cultural industry’s development. The study analyzes the specific policies, outstanding achievements, and remaining limits of Chinese cultural industry in two –way impact on the effort of increasing soft power from the government. Cultural industry is both economic and cultural branch, therefore, beyond material values, it plays a prominent role in enhancing national influences. In this context, Chinese cultural industry has gradually grown to become a new rising industry of the Chinese economy.

The thesis focuses on accessing the opportunities, challenges and propects of Chinese cultural industry’s development. At the same time, by analyzing the similarities in cultural, economic, political and geographic conditions between Vietnam and China, the thesis points out changes and impacts on Vietnamese cultural industry.

12. Practical applicability, if any:

The thesis is going to be a useful reference for researching and teaching Chinese culture in general and Chinese cultural industry in particular. Moreover, the thesis contributes scientific references for Vietnamese policy makers in the process of building and developing cultural industry.
