Japan Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) is a leading research institute in Japan established in October 1990. JAIST is the first national graduate Institute in Japan with the aim of creating an important contribution to the development of global society, creating an environment for research and educational leaders of the future who master science and technology for future society.
 Institute of Science and Technology of Japan has 3 member schools: School of Knowledge Science, Information Science, Materials Science and 20 centers, institutes and departments.
 Two decades, the Institute has trained over 4097 doctors and 610 masters.
