According to the AUN external assessment results, the four VNU’s newly accredited programs had a grade point average from 4.0 to 4.5. The AUN-QA has 11 standards including 50 general criteria for all training programs. AUN has adopted a 7-point rating scale for its quality assessment, of which point 4 is adequate as expected; point 5 is better than adequate; point 6 is example of best practices; and point 7 is excellent.
According to Dr. Nghiêm Xuân Huy - Director of VNU Institute for Quality Assurance, every year, VNU performs quality assessment of its academic programs in accordance with AUN-QA standards. To date, 22 VNU’s academic programs have been evaluated and presented certificate by AUN-QA. As scheduled, at the end of 2018, there are 7 more VNU’s academic programs to be assessed by AUN-QA; namely Bachelor in Chemical Engineering and Technology, Bachelor in Environmental Engineering of VNU University of Science; Bachelor in Social Work, Bachelor in Psychology of VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Bachelor in Electronics and Communication Engineering of VNU University of Engineering and Technology; Bachelor in Fast Track English Linguistics of VNU University of Languages and International Studies; Master in Business Administration of VNU School of Business and Management.
