In March 2024, the Executive Director of the ASEAN University Network (AUN) announced that two training programs at International School – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) have officially been recognized as meeting the AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance) standards.

These are the bachelor’s programs in International Business and in Accounting, Analyzing, and Auditing, which were assessed by AUN-QA education quality experts in August 2023.

The AUN standards evaluate training programs from various aspects including output standards, curriculum framework, faculty, facilities, quality assurance processes, and connections between the school, students, and businesses, etc.

According to the results of the AUN external evaluation team, the two university training programs of International School achieved an average rating of 4.0. AUN-QA uses 11 standards comprising 50 criteria applicable to all training programs. The AUN-QA rating scale includes 7 levels, where level 4 meets requirements, level 5 exceeds standards, level 6 is excellent, and level 7 is internationally outstanding. The external evaluation team concluded that the International Business and Accounting, Analysis, and Auditing programs exhibit strong overall merits in terms of curriculum content, teaching and learning methods, student assessment, faculty and staff, student support services, infrastructure, post-graduation employment, and thus meet the quality assurance conditions according to the AUN-QA rating scale.

With a rigorous and transparent accreditation process; a comprehensive set of quality assessment standards recognized by educational systems within and outside Southeast Asia, the AUN standard helps international schools gradually establish their position on the regional university map. Participating in AUN accreditation offers many benefits for students. Graduates from these programs will have advantages in finding employment in the regional and international market.
