The 14th meeting of the Council for Education Quality Accreditation

On February 27th 2021, the Center for Education Accreditation, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-CEA) held the 14th meeting of the Council for Education Quality Accreditation to review the results of the educational quality assessment for training programs which were externally assessed by VNU-CEA.

The delegations joined the event: from the Vietnam Education Quality Management Agency, MOET were Dr. Le My Phong - Deputy Director and MA. Nguyen Thai Son - Deputy Head of Quality Accreditation Division; Board of Directors of VNU-CEA; members of the Council for Education Quality Accreditation; representatives of external assessment team and representatives of higher educational institutions.

Overview of the Opening Session

At the meeting, Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien - Standing Vice Director of VNU-CEA reported to the Council on the results of the mid-term assessment reports on quality accreditation of 22 universities. Accordingly, these universities have made quality improvements according to the recommendations of the Assessment Team and the Council for Education Quality Accreditation, have implemented mid-term assessment on time and submitted reports to VNU-CEA.

The Council for Education Quality Accreditation reviewed the quality of education for 03 bachelor programs of Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment and 04 bachelor programs of Tay Do University.

After listening the report from universities and summary report on the results of external assessment, report on review results of Specialized subcommittee, the Council discussed issues and made recommendations on how to overcome the shortcomings and to continue improving the quality of education. After discussing, the Council took a secret ballot to pass the resolution on the review of the assessment results of the educational quality for the 07 programs.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Le My Phong highly appreciated the professionalism, seriousness, objectivity, fairness and creativity in implementing quality accreditation activities of VNU-CEA and the Council. In particular, the organization of this meeting coordinating the direct and online form for members from far away is a good form to keep up with the trend in the current pandemic context.

After the meeting, the VNU-CEA will continue to implement the quality assessment procedures for these programs as prescribed.
