On March 4, 2021, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), an educational organization, published the university rankings following 51 majors belonging to 5 specific fields of 1500 training institutions from 85 countries and regions, with approximately 14.000 training programs on offer.

Among the 5 majors ranked by QS in 2021, 4 majors have already been listed in previous rankings including: Computer Science and Information Systems; Mechanical, Aeronautical & Manufacturing Engineering; Mathematics; Physics & Astronomy; and there is a new major to be featured in the ranking this year, that is Business & Management Studies.

International School  was honored with 4 out of 5 majors ranked in the top 500 devised by QS. With regards to the Business & Management Studies major, VNU-IS currently offers the Masters of Financial Management program and Bachelor of International Business program (with degree awarded by VNU), as well as Bachelor of Science in Management (in collaboration with Keuka College, USA). As for the Computer Science and Information Systems major, VNU-IS offers the Bachelor of Management Information System program, and Bachelor of Informatics and Computer Engineering program (with degree awarded by VNU). The institution has also been one of the three VNU affiliated members to offer training programs related to the Computer Science and Information Systems major.

Furthermore, VNU-IS also contributes a huge number of lecturers, leading experts and scientists to VNU’s academic staff. In the Business & Management Studies major, there are 03 VNU-IS scientists featured in the top 10 leading economists of Vietnam according to the Research Papers in Economics (RePEc). They are Dr. Nguyen Viet Cuong, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Khuong and Dr. Tran Quang Tuyen. In the field of Physics and Mathematics, VNU-IS gladly possesses leading scientists and excellent lecturers majoring in Computer Engineering and Mathematics - Informatics application. Some of them include: Prof. Dr. Sc. Ho Tu Bao - an excellent scientist with more than 40 years of experience in teaching and researching in the field of artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science in Vietnam and other countries; Prof. Dr. Sc. Le Hoai An - leading expert in transferring technology in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence to practical applications; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hai Thanh - a scientist who first made possible the application of information technology and fuzzy controls in Vietnam’s agriculture; Assoc. Prof. Dr.Nguyen Thanh Tung - leading expert in the field of information technology and wireless sensor network.

In 2021, VNU-IS strives to implement more new training programs following diverse educational models to meet the societal needs and contribute more to the list of training majors offered by VNU. All the lecturers, staff and students of the institution have pledged to make all-out efforts to achieve the established goals.
