On August 30th, 2022, VNU University of Languages and International studies (VNU ULIS) held a ceremony to sign cooperation agreements between the University with HANCOM Group and YES Group (Korea) and receive funding from these partners.

At the ceremony, the representatives of the parties signed 3 official memorandums of understanding, including a MOU between ULIS and HANCOM on HANCOM Group’s sponsorship of equipment used to develop the project of organizing K-IBT and establishing a K-IBT Center, a MOU between ULIS and HANCOM on the implementation of K-IBT exam, a MOU between ULIS and YES Group on fostering scholarships for students.

Speaking at the ceremony, representatives of the three units expressed their expectations for the cooperation program, as well as their desire to further diversify cooperation activities in order to strengthen their Korean language training and research capacity.

Appreciating the implementation efforts and commitment of HANCOM group and YES group, VNU ULIS Rector Do Tuan Minh said that ULIS had established a task group to develop a joint project to organize the Korean language proficiency test (K- IBT) at ULIS. The Rector also invited the senior leaders of the two corporations to visit and work at ULIS.
