The ceremony was attended by President Do Tuan Minh, Deputy Director of the Cooperation & Development Bui Dinh Thang, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Chinese Language & Culture Bui Dinh Hien, Dean of the Faculty of Language Education & Professional Development Hoa Ngoc Son and Representative of Taipei Office of Economic and Cultural Affairs in Vietnam Ly Minh.
According to the agreement, ULIS and Taipei Office of Economic and Cultural Affairs in Vietnam agreed to cooperate to establish the Center for Taiwan Education at ULIS, particularly at room 105, Block A4. The office operates with the purpose of promoting Chinese language, Taiwanese education and culture. The Center will officially operate from March 1st, 2019.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ly Minh said that the establishment of the Center for Taiwan Education was an event that Taipei Office of Economic and Cultural Affairs in Vietnam had long been waiting for. The decision to choose ULIS as the location of the Center stemmed from its high quality on training and its talented alumni.
President Do Tuan Minh affirmed that the University would support for the Center’s activities, especially in organizing the TOCFL exam and recognizing this certificate.
