The eligibility criteria for thesis defense are as follows: completing all courses of the program; GPA of 2.0 or higher; meeting the English requirement for graduation; not being under prosecution for penal liability or subject to suspension of study; and not having any contents of the thesis denounced by the law.
Each thesis is supervised by 01 advisor to instruct students in their research project. After completion of the project, students will defend their thesis before the Examination Board.
There were 05 eligible students in the first thesis defense session.
In 2017, the Master of Financial Management program was launched at VNU-IS. The program is delivered in English and conducted entirely at VNU-IS. Upon completion of the program, students will be awarded a degree by VNU. Students enrolled in the program will have the opportunity to experience an advanced training program, modern teaching method and evaluation process, meeting international standards. In addition, foreign lecturers take up 20-25% of the core subjects. Graduates are confident with the knowledge and skills acquired from the program.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, VNU-IS took all possible measures to ensure that students graduate on time. VNU-IS is the first member of VNU to implement the online teaching platform which prevented any disruption to the academic calendar as well as the learning progress of students. VNU-IS also promptly organized the thesis defense session for students of the Master of Financial Management program immediately after the social distancing period.
Congratulations to students of the first cohort of the Master of Financial Management program who successfully defended their thesis. We do hope that they will achieve greater success on their journey ahead.
