Chairman of VNU Council, VNU President Le Quan and Deputy Secretary of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Minh signed a cooperation agreement between the two institutions
Speaking at the signing ceremony, VNU President Le Quan said that VNU, as a multidisciplinary and multi-sectoral national centre for training, scientific research and knowledge transfer, has established its development direction as a research- and innovation-oriented university to raise its status as well as create VNU values, contributing to the prosperity of the country. In addition to the mission of training and fostering high-quality and talented human resources for the society, VNU also focuses on promoting research and transferring scientific and technological products along with promoting cooperation with enterprises to create high quality social services.

With the expectation of making VNU a pioneer in innovation in Vietnam, VNU focuses on developing comprehensive cooperation with businesses and localities. Many business partners are willing to accompany VNU to cooperate with localities in research, technology transfer and human resource development. VNU President Le Quan hoped that this cooperation would bring positive values and multi-faceted benefits to both VNU and Quang Ngai province. VNU would create favourable conditions for students from Quang Ngai province to study at VNU under the project "Attracting and training students from South Central and Southern provinces at VNU". In addition, VNU is ready to send experienced experts and scientists to consult, support policy development, participate in training and fostering human resources as well as to take a more active part in solving Quang Ngai provincial problems.
Mrs. Bui Thi Quynh Van - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Secretary of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Council, expressed her impression of VNU's long tradition, position and mission. She said that VNU was an exemplary symbol in the education system of Vietnam, whose results, strengths and experiences in training would be a valuable example for other educational institutions in the country.

She shared that Quang Ngai province always upheld the importance of human resources in its development process. Quang Ngai has had projects on vocational training, job introduction, and improvement of the quality of staff in the next 5, 10 years. Mrs. Bui Thi Quynh Van believed that, with the experience and capacity of VNU’s scientists, professors and lecturers, VNU would effectively support Quang Ngai in providing consultation on socio-economic development, human resource development, science and technology research and transfer policies. With the cooperation of VNU, Quang Ngai province would build its own political human resources and strong social human resources to meet the new development period requirements.

Deputy Secretary of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Minh affirmed that the cooperation with VNU was right and highly appropriate for the local development needs that should have been met sooner. VNU will strongly support Quang Ngai, especially in high-quality human resource training, science and technology application, digital transformation, etc.
VNU and Quang Ngai province have identified three key cooperation tasks for the 2023-2027 period, namely training and human resource development, scientific research and technology transfer, and socio-economic development policy consultation.
