In 2023, VNU paid special attention to the development of new spearhead interdisciplinary majors in engineering-technology to meet the high demand for human resources in this field as well as to respond to Industry Revolution 4.0, which made a number of breakthroughs in designing new and pioneering training programs, such as Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Nanotechnology, Construction - Transportation Engineering Technology, Aerospace Technology, Robotics, Information Safety, Management of Financial Institutions, Marine Economy, Climate Change, among others.
Starting its training journey with majors only in basic sciences, to date, with over 400 training programs at undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels, VNU has already developed the following training structure: Natural sciences and medicine - pharmacy: 25%; Social sciences and humanities, economics, foreign languages, law and education: 45%; Technology – engineering: 15%; Interdisciplinary and pilot programs: 15%.
VNU has been actively transforming its training structure from basic sciences to those linked with engineering, technology and practice. Thanks to that, VNU's training programs have quickly matched with those around the world, closely linked with industries and businesses, which helps increase graduate employability.
VNU prioritized its investment to develop talents, key and engineering technology training programs. VNU continued to expand and innovate training in Hoa Lac towards comprehensive development of personal qualities, knowledge, skills and physical features. The pilot online training project was implemented in order to radically transform this training model at VNU.
VNU continued to expand and improve the quality of doctoral training, high-quality talent training programs as well as increase enrollment scale through its own competency assessment test.
To meet the demand for high-quality human resources and respond to Industry Revolution 4.0, VNU has actively transformed its training structure from basic sciences to those linked with engineering, technology and practice, which brought about a lot of positive results. By the end of 2023, VNU had had 172 undergraduate programs, 183 master's programs and 113 doctoral programs.
