Science and Technology Serves the Sustainable Development of the Northwest Region.
Under the framework of the state-level key science and technology program in the 2013 – 2018 period titled "Science and Technology for the Sustainable Development of the Northwest Region" (called in short as the Northwest Program), on 3rd and 4th July, 2014, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Northwest Program Steering Committee, the Bắc Kạn provincial People’s Committee in coordination with VNU has held a scientific seminar with the theme "Science and Technology for Sustainable Development of the Northwest Region" and the Briefing of Science and Technology of the Northern midland and mountainous provinces in Bắc Kạn province. (04/07/2014)

For the first time, Vietnam has built successfully a Vietnamese individual Genome
According to Dr. Lê Sỹ Vinh – Lecturer of VNU University of Engineering and Technology and head of the VNU key research program on Computing – Biology – Pharmacy, their group has had the first result in the research of building and analyzing the Vietnamese people’s genome, starting with the technical access of computing and biology (24/02/2014)
