In April, lecturers and students of Master’s Program in Global Leadership (MGL) visited Asia Foundation – Office in Viet Nam. At Viet Nam’s office of Asia Foundation, MGL’s lecturers and students were welcomed by Mr. Filip Graovac, Deputy Country Representative. Mr. Filip introduced about the work and value of Asia Foundation, as well as their work in Viet Nam. MGL students raised questions and discussed with Mr. Filip about the issues and challenges of the projects they have been working on in Viet Nam such as corporate social responsibility and the practices in Viet Nam, transparency in governance, women empowerment, etc.

In April, MGL students had field trip to different organizations such as Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Japan Foundation, and UN House in Viet Nam (UNESCO, UNICEF, WHO). These are organizations that play important roles in the development of Viet Nam and regions in the world.

Through the field trips, MGL students had chance to learn a lot about the missions, work of organizations as well as their contribution in international cooperation and community development. Students raised questions about global issues, especially in the contemporary context and were shared opinions from the representatives of organizations based on their working experience.

The field trips helped MGL students understand more about the global challenges and their role as the youth in the future society, which was an encouraging experience for the students.
