In addition to applying the A+B model, VNU focused on attracting high quality human resources, fundamentally innovating the team of lecturers, aiming for a comprehensive training environment for learners.
The comprehensive education project for first-year full-time students studying in VNU town in Hoa Lac was implemented from the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. The project’s components aim to support first-year students studying in Hoa Lac to comprehensively develop in skills, physical features, thinking, capacity, personal and professional qualities; information technology application ability, self-response to change; profound cultural understanding and encyclopedic knowledge, initiative spirit, self-study, independent research, innovation, and responsibility towards themselves, families, schools and communities, etc.
VNU-specific education model for all first-year students studying in Hoa Lac is comprehensive in three aspects: Physically strong – Mentally powerful – Socially skillful. Under the comprehensive education model, students will be trained in full competencies, including global citizenship, digital competence, adaptive capacity and innovation capacity to create momentum for their success at future work and in later life. The 2023-2024 academic year was the first year when more than 700 first-year students of VNU University of Engineering and Technology started studying at Hoa Lac campus under the comprehensive education model with 100% of students residing in dormitories.
Starting from the 2023-2024 academic year, VNU will develop a new physical education program, which officially introduces Vietnamese Martial Arts to its curriculum. Along with that, VNU organizes sport club activities for its students to develop their strengths, create excitement, and maintain regular exercise habits.
VNU will build a framework for teaching and student activities and attract learners from South Vietnam, mountainous ethnic groups, and international students to create a better learning environment for cultural exchange and multiculturalism at VNU.
