VNU President Le Quan expressed his pleasure to personally welcome Chairman Chung Eui Sun and the delegation of Hyundai Group to VNU Hoa Lac campus. He said, on June 22, 2023, Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife visited VNU and talked to young Vietnamese learning the Korean language. At that event, the President of the Republic of Korea expressed his belief that Hoa Lac would be the largest and most dynamic university city in the near future.
VNU President Le Quan said that VNU had had a lot of cooperation in training and scientific research with leading Korean universities such as Seoul National University, high-tech corporations including Samsung, LG, Hyundai, SK, etc. VNU's science, technology and engineering graduates are always highly appreciated and offered important positions in Korean technology and industrial corporations in Vietnam.

VNU President Le Quan shared that realizing the aspiration for a smart university city of Vietnam to bring attractive opportunities for domestic and foreign enterprises and corporations to effectively invest in and exploit public-private partnership projects, contributing to building high-quality human resources and promoting development, VNU wished to establish cooperative relationships with leading corporations and enterprises from Vietnam and worldwide. VNU has a policy of establishing research centres affiliated with enterprises to diversify cooperation. Therefore, VNU President Le Quan hoped that in the near future, VNU would welcome the presence of a technology-related training and research centre in partnership with Hyundai Motor Group in Hoa Lac.
The Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group sincerely thanked VNU President Le Quan for welcoming his delegation. He said that investing in education and human resource training was the Group's priority; therefore, he hoped to establish cooperation with a leading university in Vietnam. President Chung Eui Sun expressed his agreement to the proposals of VNU leaders and affirmed that he would send a team of experts to support VNU in training.
Mr. Chung Eui Sun said that he would be willing to share his experience in engineering technology with VNU as well as accompany VNU in training and research in this field. He believed that with the strengths and advantages of VNU at Hoa Lac campus, the two sides would have great potential for cooperation in training high-quality human resources for the future market, serving economic, science and technology development of the two countries.
