On December 10, 2022, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) organized its first Investment Promotion Conference (VNU IPC 2022) to attract resources and investments for construction, education, research, and science and technology transfer.
The conference featured many engaging activities that attracted up to 10,000 attendees, including representatives from ministries, sectors; domestic and foreign investors, policy planners, experts in public-private partnership (PPP), business leaders, domestic and foreign business associations, scientists, faculty members, and students from VNU and beyond.
Apart from the conference plenary session, there were four symposiums, including
- Investment Promotion for VNU Campus in Hoa Lac;
- High-tech Medicine and Health Science;
- High-tech Agriculture and Sustainable Development;
- Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology, VNU held a seminar: "Attracting private investment in science, technology, and innovation development in Vietnam for the goal of sustainable development."

During the conference, VNU and its members and affiliated units signed 25 memoranda of understanding for collaboration with various partners to connect and expand consulting activities and enhance human resource quality for the long-term sustainable development of enterprises; secured investments in VNU town; collaboration in research, technology transfer, and application of scientific and technological products by VNU scientists to support business development, increase value, and contribute to the local economic development and the nation's overall progress.
On the same day, VNU also held the Inauguration and Handover ceremony of VNU Executive building in Hoa Lac, sponsored by alumnus Nguyen Khoa Bao and FSI Company.
The conference also featured the Exhibition of Potential and Achievements in Science and Technology, Cooperation and Investment Promotion Space, and VNU Student Networking Day.
As scheduled, VNU Investment Promotion Conference 2023 (VNU IPC 2023) is held in November with 6 symposiums: (i) Public-private partnership for developing VNU Campus in Hoa Lac; (ii) Promoting Investment of Japanese corporations in Vietnam; (iii) High-tech medicine and health science; (iv) Investing in Talented and High-Quality Education and Training; (v) Technology Development in the Semiconductor Industry; and (vi) Attracting investment from Taiwanese and Singaporean enterprises in research on Natural Resources and Environment at VNU; and
- A session for attracting investments in research teams, science and technology products, and startup initiatives;
- The plenary session: VNU Investment Promotion 2023;
- An exhibition of VNU’s Potential and Achievements in Science and Technology;
- Networking space and investment promotion;
- VNU student networking Day.
VNU Investment Promotion Conference is a platform for connecting businesses and entrepreneurs, both domestic and international, interested in education, training, science and technology.
