Vietnam-Japan University - a symbol of cooperation between the two countries in training high quality human resources
On March 8, 2022, on Hoa Lac campus, VNU President Le Quan had a meeting with Mr. Takebe Tsutomu - Special Advisor to the Japan–Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance.

VNU President, Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan University Council Le Quan said that the university would give priority to the uniform development of training programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels, especially those meeting enterprises’ demands. Notably, in 2022, VNU Vietnam-Japan University expects to send its first intake of undergraduates to study in Hoa Lac.

Highly appreciating Mr. Takebe Tsutomu's dedication to the development of VNU Vietnam-Japan University, President Le Quan expected further support and connection from the Special Advisor, especially in linking businesses to make the best use of resources. Increasing the number of students by expanding the training scale and strengthening the State-University-Business cooperation model to link and create resources is the key to promoting VJU's development in the coming time.

VNU President Le Quan also suggested that the Japanese Government and Mr. Takebe Tsutomu himself orient and support Japanese enterprises, organizations and scientists to enable them to participate in researching and investing in the construction of VNU Vietnam-Japan University in Hoa Lac.

The Special Advisor expressed his pleasure to visit and work with VNU leaders on Hoa Lac campus. He highly appreciated the important achievements of VNU Vietnam-Japan University in recent years such as the opening of undergraduate training programs, strengthening cooperation with Japanese enterprises and maintaining the right orientation of a research-oriented university.

Mr. Takebe believed that, with the establishment of the support agency for the VNU Vietnam-Japan University Project, along with VNU’s support and determination, VJU would become a symbolic project of cooperation between the two countries and a provider of high-quality human resources for Vietnam, Japan, Asia and the world. In addition, these human resources are expected to help motivate foreign enterprises to invest in Vietnam. Therefore, to enable VJU to promote its mission, it is necessary to expand its training scale for admitting more diverse learners.

Mr. Takebe expressed his support for the plan to bring students of Vietnam-Japan University as well as students of VNU to study on Hoa Lac campus in the coming time. Also, he emphasized that in the process of building Vietnam-Japan University in Hoa Lac, it was necessary to focus on creating a comfortable, friendly working environment and a cultural space with its own identity.

Also within the framework of the meeting, the Special Advisor visited a number of projects under construction of VNU in Hoa Lac and the area currently used by Vietnam-Japan University as well as to be used for its future development.
