VNU’s Engineering ranked for the first time by the U.S. News & World Report
On November 3, 2022, the U.S. News & World Report published the 2022 edition of the Best Global Universities Rankings. Accordingly, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) was ranked 970th globally and 258th in Asia.  (07/11/2022)
The Ministry of Construction approved the detailed planning task of VNU University of Education
On October 28, 2022, the Ministry of Construction issued Decision 990/QD-BXD approving the 1/500-scale detailed planning task of VNU University of Education under the Hoa Lac-based VNU project (QG-HN14). This will be an international standard university in Vietnam in interdisciplinary sciences and advanced technology.  (07/11/2022)

VNU HUS High School for Gifted Students contestant wins bronze medal at the World Xiangqi Championship 2022
The 17th World Xiangqi (Chinese chess) Championship was held from October 24 to October 28, 2022, in Kuching City, Sarawak State, Malaysia. 126 players from 17 countries and territories participated in the competition, including Brunei, China, Finland, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, the USA and Vietnam.  (03/11/2022)

THE WUR By Subject 2023: Two More Subjects Of VNU Featured In Top 600 globally
On October 26, 2022, Times Higher Education (THE) announced the results of the THE World University Rankings 2023 by subject. Accordingly, VNU was ranked in 6 out of the 11 ranked subject areas with an increase of two subjects compared to the previous ranking.  (31/10/2022)
Opening ceremony of VNU’s first academic year on Hoa Lac campus
On October 23, 2022, VNU held the opening ceremony of its first academic year in VNU university town in Hoa Lac. This is an event of historical significance for VNU lecturers and students, especially 1,500 QH.2022 cohort students of VNU University of Education, VNU University of Medicine and Pharmacy, VNU Vietnam - Japan University, and VNU International School, studying full-time in Hoa Lac for the first time.  (25/10/2022)
