Implementing the National strategy on attracting and utilizing talents to 2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 899/QĐ-TTg dated July 31, 2023; pursuant to Circular No. 05/2023/TT-BKHCN dated May 22, 2023 of the Ministry of Science and Technology detailing a number of contents on attracting, using and appreciating individuals engaged in scientific activities, VNU is attracting scientists, including overseas Vietnamese and foreigners, with excellent research achievements to participate in scientific research and take on the position of strong research group leaders in VNU’s priority science and technology fields.
Along with the healthcare policy for professors working at VNU and the policies for scientists, in the past year, VNU issued regulations on the working regime of lecturers, with special priority given to lecturers who participate in scientific research and have articles published in Q1, Q2 or higher journals.
Implementing the policies to form and develop science and technology enterprises, promoting the commercialization of intellectual property at VNU according to its Science, Technology and Innovation Strategy for the period 2021 - 2030, VNU has issued Guidelines for establishing and developing enterprises in VNU to support scientists in realizing the opportunities for developing their research in the direction of application and transfer to practice.
VNU always creates the most favorable conditions and environment to promote the development of science and technology enterprises. Profits generated from the transfer and commercialization of science and technology products are used to reinvest in research groups for further developing products and serving the community. Currently, VNU is supporting research groups in establishing businesses with the provision of offices in the inner-city, experimental production workshops and land for piloting activities at VNU’s 22.9-hectare joint research complex in Hoa Lac. In addition, approved S&T enterprises will be able to join VNU Holdings, enjoy priority assistance in fulfilling S&T tasks, and access laboratories, inventions and useful solutions, among others.
